Freelance journalist, since 2001 contributor for Io Donna, the Saturday supplement of the leading Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera. 
My articles focus on social issues and international reports, with a special attention on women’s and children’s rights. In 2009 my reportage about war rapes in Congo won the “Enzo Baldoni” journalist award of Milano Province. With an article about Roma women’s forced sterilizations in Czech Republic, I was the Italian winner at Journalist Prize of the European Parliament in 2008. I also was national winner in 2007 at “For Diversity-Against Discrimination” award of the European Commission. In 2011 I’ve been finalist at Anna Lindh Foundation’s “Mediterranean Journalist Award” with an article on the youth in Gaza Strip. I’m author of three books and in October 2012 I’m publishing a new one about ‘ndrangheta, the most powerful “mafia” based in the South of Italy (written with Rosy Canale, Paoline publisher). I produced the multimedia project “My Beauty Is Dead To You” on gender violence in Palestine, with the photographer Simona Ghizzoni, and filmed and produced the 15 minutes documentary “No Country For Young Men" about youth in the Gaza Strip.
